Method 1: Wash baseball caps in the dishwasher
Use the dishwasher. Baseball caps can be machine washed, but washing them in the washing machine can be harmful. Rinse the hat under cool water. Drain the water from the sink and turn on the faucet to make sure the water is cold, then put the hat underneath and rinse it off, scrubbing with your fingers every now and then until the detergent is rinsed off. Let the hat dry. Stuff a few clean dishcloths inside the hat to help it set, otherwise the hat will easily deform and you won’t be able to wear it. If you want the hat to dry faster, then you can turn on an electric fan and blow on the side. But don’t use hot air and water, or the hat will shrink.
